Project 1: Mars Rover - Freshmen Year
During my Freshman Year, I involved myself in a team that designed and fabricated a Mars Rover. I was responsible for the mechanical assembly and integration of the rover’s suspension system, ensuring it could navigate uneven terrain while carrying its sensors and instruments. I also collaborated with the electronics team to mount cameras and motor controls, and helped test the rover’s movement on simulated Martian surfaces. Through this experience, I gained hands-on skills in CAD design, fabrication, and system integration, while learning to solve real-world engineering problems. The project strengthened my teamwork, problem-solving, and innovation skills, and inspired my interest in autonomous systems and robotics.
